Composed of LACTOMER glycolide/lactide copolymer which is a synthetic polyester composed of glycolide and lactide derived from glycolic and lactic acids. POLYSORB sutures are prepared by coating the suture with a mixture of caprolactone/glycolide copolymer and calcium stearoyl lactylate.
