MONOSOF monofilament nylon sutures are inert, nonabsorbable sterile surgical sutures composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. The advanced extrusion process of the nylon molecule gives the suture: Uniform diameter; Maximum flexibility of the strand; Excellent security with snug and flattened knots; Minimal memory; Excellent and consistent knotting strength. MONOSOF monofilament nylon sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.
